KIMBALL -- Kimball Area Public Schools were placed on a brief lockdown this morning (Thursday).

Kimball Superintendent Jim Wagner says they received a call from the Stearns County Sheriff's Office just after 10:00 a.m. that police were looking for person with a gun in the area.

Wagner says both Kimball Elementary and Kimball High School were put on lockdown, which lasted about ten minutes before the Sheriff's Office told them the person had been caught.

Wagner says the person wanted by police never came onto school grounds.
