A lockdown at one of Minnesota's most secure prisons is easing after a fight broke out among inmates last weekend. The Minnesota Department of Corrections says it's still investigating the cause of Saturday's brawl.
Hinckley-Finlayson High School has given the all-clear after a lockdown caused when a man was spotted on the roof. The Pine County sheriff's office responded just after 11 a.m. Tuesday to an "uninvited persons" complaint from the school.
Police say it was a man armed with a knife who was making threats that caused a lockdown at a St. Paul hospital. Authorities say the man was sitting in a car with a woman and a baby outside the Regions Hospital emergency room when the incident began about 6:30 p.m.
Kimball Area Public Schools were placed on a brief lockdown this morning (Thursday). Kimball Superintendent Jim Wagner says they received a call from the Stearns County Sheriff's Office just after 10:00 a.m. that police were looking for person with a gun in the area.
