ST. CLOUD -- From reading schedules to reviewing safety rules, kids are learning how to ride the bus as part of a special summer promotion.

Metro Bus is offering kids free ridership this summer with their U-Go Free Summer Youth Pass.

Metro Bus Marketing and Communications Manager Berta Hartig says the program is a benefit to the younger members of our community.

"We don't want bored kids all summer. This allows kids to get to parks, movie theater, boys and girls club and so many other places on their own."

The pass provides unlimited ridership through August 31st for each kid ages 17 and younger. Hartig says they even offer bus riding skills classes at their Mobility Training Center daily.

"We offer the youth classes at the beginning of the summer to group a bunch of people together, but we always offer travel training for anyone."

Hartig says passes are available all summer long. If you would like more information you can contact the Metro Bus Mobility Training Center at 529-4497.
