Kitty was born on March 31, 1933 in St. Stephen to John and Agnes (Schumer) Supan. She graduated from Holdingford High School in 1951 and was united in marriage to Edgar E. Traut on June 18, 1952 at St. Stephen Catholic Church in St. Stephen. Together they farmed and raised eight children in Sartell. Kitty was a member of St. Francis Parish, St. Monica’s Christian Women, the Eastside VFW Post #4847 Ladies Auxiliary and the St. Cloud American Legion Post #76 Ladies Auxiliary. Kitty was very devoted to her faith; she enjoyed volunteering her time with the church prayer line and sharing the fruits of her garden with the Sisters of the Poor Clares. Kitty shared her homemade jellies and goodies with family and friends. You were always greeted with a smile and a treat. Kitty loved all animals and was especially fond of feeding the birds.

Kitty was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved being a homemaker; Kitty and Edgar shared mutual love and respect with each other for 63 years. Edgar was the love of her life and she treasured being able to care for him. Kitty will be remembered for her infectious smile, loving nature and warm hugs. She was a gift to all who met her and will be dearly missed.
