Jerome ‘Jerry’ M. Groover, 70, St. Cloud

June 28, 1945 - October 2, 2015

Jerry was born June 28, 1945 in St. Cloud to Felton Spivey and Viola Lauer. He married Janet Bies on August 2, 1969 in Crystal. He was a lifelong resident of the St. Cloud area and worked in security and dispatch for over 30 years at Multifoods in Rice. He is a member of Solid Rock Family Church in Waite Park. He was also a member of Frontier Camping Fraternity. He enjoyed collecting turtles, woodworking, fishing, playing games, cooking and baking (especially large cookies). He was a jokester and enjoyed spending time in Emily with his family.

Survivors include his wife Janet of St. Cloud; children, Elizabeth “Beth” (Jim) Wagner of St. Augusta; Michael (Meghan) Groover of Sauk Rapids; John (Sarah Smith) of Sauk Rapids; Jessica (Devin Nelson) Groover of Watkins; and 15 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters and brother, Carolyn Blonigan, Barb Storkamp and Greg.
