Trick or Treating is something almost every kids looks forward to.  You get to dress up in a costume of your choice (usually) you go around and say "trick or treat" and then people give you free candy.  Sounds like a great time, right?

SOMETIMES THE WEATHER DOES NOT COOPERATE

In theory, yes.  But when I was a kid growing up here in Minnesota, it was usually kind of a crap shoot as to what type of weather we were going to wind up with.  It could be really nice, and everyone gets to see your fun costume, or it could be cold and then you wind up wearing a coat over your cute costume.  Bummer.

THIS EVENT IS PERFECT IF THERE IS ANY INCLEMENT WEATHER AND IT'S SAFER

That's why this event is such a great idea!  Once again this year, there is the option to go trick or treating at Crossroads Center in St. Cloud.  It's Mall-O-Ween!

This event is scheduled to happen on Halloween, next Saturday, October 31st from 4pm to 6pm.  What's even better about this situation is that if your kids want to stop then, they can, and they were able to go trick or treating in a climate controlled building.  Or, if they are feeling up to continuing on, the event is over at 6pm giving you time to hit up anther neighborhood in town and do some more trick or treating.

THE EVENT IS OPEN TO ALL KIDS AGES 12 AND UNDER & HOW TO FIND THE PARTICIPATING STORES

The age group that is able to go trick or treating at the mall is 12 and under.  All you need to do is bring your child to the mall and look for the pumpkins in the store windows.  Those are the stores that are participating in the trick or treating event.

Dress your little ones (ages 12 & under) in their MOST SPOOKTACULAR costumes and join us for a fang-tastic afternoon of MALL-O-WEEN FUN at Crossroads Center!

If you want some more information on this event, you can get everything you need right on the mall's website event page.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!

LOOK: How Halloween has changed in the past 100 years

Stacker compiled a list of ways that Halloween has changed over the last 100 years, from how we celebrate it on the day to the costumes we wear trick-or-treating. We’ve included events, inventions, and trends that changed the ways that Halloween was celebrated over time. Many of these traditions were phased out over time. But just like fake blood in a carpet, every bit of Halloween’s history left an impression we can see traces of today.
