Kids Reading to Pets – They Both Love This Program in St. Cloud
This is adorable.
Usually it's parents reading to kids. Or the kids, when they are learning to read, will read to their parents. It's a great way for kids to learn to read, and also to appreciate books. This program might be even better than that.
KIDS GET TO READ TO ANIMALS AND THEY BOTH LOVE IT
It's the Tri-County Humane Society's Book Buddies program. This way, kids get to read, and the animals love the attention. The animals don't care what is read to them or if a word is mispronounced or whatever the "mistake" might be, because there are no mistakes with this program. Kids read, animals get attention, all good all around.
IT'S EASY TO SIGN YOUR BOOK LOVING CHILD UP FOR THIS PROGRAM
If you have a child who loves to read, or maybe needs more practice reading aloud, this might be the perfect place for them to practice. It's a win-win for the kids and the animals. They love the soothing words that help calm the animals that might be feeling a bit stressed in the shelter just because they haven't found their forever home yet. So having a program like this benefits all involved.
If you have a child who would benefit from this program, it's easy to sign up. Just go to the Tri-County Humane Society website and sign up. It's that easy.
