Kwik Trip Just Rolled Out A True Minnesota Breakfast Sandwich

Kwik Trip just rolled out two new breakfast sandwiches, and they are very Minnesotan. Kwik Trip went all in with their latest creations, inviting Hormel's SPAM to the breakfast table. If you are a fan of the infamous canned meat, you're likely to try one.

SPAMwich Classic or Western Omelette

The breakfast sandwiches rolled out this morning, and I had to try one, as I am a big fan of SPAM. I ended up getting the classic brunch sandwich, which has SPAM, egg, and cheese on a croissant. It's similar to the sausage or bacon croissant, but it substitutes SPAM for the other familiar breakfast meats.

The SPAM looked to be pre-sliced and was about a quarter of an inch thick on my sandwich.

Overall, to me, it was good. Other than the slightly saltier flavor, it was as enjoyable as the other breakfast options.

Western Omelette Option

The second option was the Western Omelette breakfast sandwich option. That sandwich features SPAM, the Kwik Trip Western Omelette, and cheese on a hamburger bun.

Both sandwiches were available at the Kwik Trip off Highway 10, but I didn't get the chance to stop at other stores this morning. I am guessing that whatever Kwik Trip you stop at, the sandwiches will be there.

Reaction From Our Office

When I told my co-workers I was running to grab a breakfast sandwich, they all were interested until I told them what I was getting. I didn't realize that SPAM was so polarizing!
