Irene Johnson, age 89, of Foley, died Thursday, October 16, 2014 at her home.

Memorial Mass will be 10:30 AM Monday, October 20, 2014 at St. John's Catholic Church, Foley. The Rev. Daniel Walz will officiate. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 Sunday at the Foley Funeral Home in Foley and one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. Parish Prayers will be 5 PM Sunday evening at the funeral home. Service with Dignity provided by the Foley Funeral Home.

Irene Johnson was born October 27, 1924 in Gilmanton Township, Benton Co., MN to Marcel and Anna (Katke) Dumonceaux. She married Ernest Johnson April 21, 1942 at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Gilman. The couple lived and farmed all their married life in Glendorado Township, Benton County. They moved to Foley after their retirement. Irene enjoyed hunting & fishing, playing cards and dancing. She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church. Memorials are preferred in- lieu of flowers.

She is survived by her sons and daughters; Sheri Jenson, Albertville; Sandra (William) Jenson, Foley; Diane (Duane) Hodel, Foley; Dale, Monticello; Dennis, Colorado; Charlene Carter, St. Micheal; Joyce (Stan) Snow, Kasilof, AK; Terry, St. Cloud; Rex (Marsha), Fort Myers, FL; Ron (Barb), Little Falls; Mike (Kathy), Minneapolis, long-time companion, Arnie LeVasseus, Foley, 32 grandchildren and 50 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Ernest; son, Larry and daughter, Carol Novak; brother, Emil Dumonceaux, sister, Ethel Linn and grandson, Anthony Jenson.
