ST. CLOUD - The St. Cloud State Mens hockey team dropped game 2 of its weekend series against Denver University.

The top ranked Pioneers, 16-6-4, 8-3-3, came back from a 1 goal deficit to split the series with the Huskies.

Freshman Jake Wahlin opened the scoring for SCSU,11-12-1, 6-9-1 but after that it was all Pioneers. Denver scored 2 in the second and a power play goal late in the 3rd to earn the series split in St Cloud.

Next up for the Huskies is the North Star College Cup at the Xcel Energy Center in St Paul. The Huskies are the defending champions and look to start their title defense Friday against Bemidji State.
