ROCHESTER, Minn. (AP) - Police say an intruder shot and wounded a man during a home invasion in Rochester.

Sgt. Dan Monnet says a woman called police about 6 p.m. Wednesday about an intruder who had attacked a man in the home. The 30-year-old man had been shot in the leg and was taken to a local hospital.

A large number of officers responded to the home, blocked off the neighborhood and canceled a nearby youth baseball game. Dogs were used in a search for the suspect, but police were not able to locate him.
