ELROSA -- Construction is set to begin on Stearns County's Dairyland Trail and officials will hold a groundbreaking ceremony to mark the day.

The ceremony will be held at the Elrosa baseball field parking lot tomorrow at 3:00 p.m.

Construction on the first six miles of the Dairyland Trail will run from Elrosa to the snowmobile trail just east of Greenwald. Eventually, the trail will cover 26 miles and connect to the Lake Wobegon Trail in Albany.

Along with biking, walking and snowmobiling, the trail will be the first Stearns County trail to allow for horseback riding.
