Gander Mountain is Going Out of Business
UNDATED - The Gander Mountain store in Waite Park, as well as all other stores nationwide, according to their website are going out of business. But, that doesn't necessarily mean they're gone for good.
Their website says, "after 57 years all 126 locations nationwide are going out of business. Total liquidation savings. Gift cards accepted until May 18th."
There's also a "going out of business" sign on the outside of the store in Waite Park.
In March 2017, Gander Mountain filed for voluntary Chapter 11 Bankruptcy and began the work to restructure the company and remain a part of the outdoor community. In May 2017, Gander Mountain and Overton’s were acquired by Camping World Holdings, Inc.
Marcus Lemonis says about 70 of the stores will reopen with new merchandise, most likely still under the Gander Mountain name.
