Fire Destroys Garage In Sauk Rapids

SAUK RAPIDS -- Sauk Rapids fire fighters braved the cold temperatures to battle a garage fire this (Monday) afternoon.

Fire Chief Tony Hommerding says the fire was reported at about 12:20 p.m. at 612 4th Avenue North.

He says the exact cause has not been determined, but there was a wood stove in the garage that was burning.  The garage and it's contents are a complete loss.  The total damage estimate is over $50,000.

There were no injuries.
