Driver Hits Cow on the Road

LITCHFIELD -- A Litchfield man escaped serious injury after his vehicle hit a cow early Tuesday morning.

The Meeker County Sheriff's Office says 21-year-old Alexandro Jackson was driving on County Road 28 south of Litchfield around 5:00 a.m. when he struck the animal in the roadway.

Jackson suffered minor injuries but refused treatment at the scene. No word on the status of the cow.
