Dorothy “Darene” Cekalla, 86, Sartell

Memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 28, 2017 at Country Manor Chapel in Sartell for Dorothy “Darene” Cekalla, age 86, of Sartell, who died Friday at Country Manor Health Care Center in Sartell. Chaplain Adam Sohre will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services on Friday at the nursing home in Sartell.

Darene was born May 3, 1930 in Holdingford to Edmund and Bernice (Scepaniak) Feia. She spent most of her life in the Holdingford and Rice area. She was united in marriage to Duane Cekalla and they later divorced. Darene was a Beautician at Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Sauk Rapids for many years. She liked Bingo, babysitting the cats, watching Viking football and always had manicured nails. She also enjoyed working outdoors attending to her flowers and garden. She was a kind and giving person who would do anything for others.

She is survived by her son, Steve (Sue Moore) of Rice and was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Valeria, Donald, David, Dale “Butch”; and twin sister, Delores Sauer.
