Doris E. McLeod, St. Cloud, 84

March 5, 1930 - July 18, 2014

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud for Doris E. McLeod, age 84, of St. Cloud who passed away on Friday, July 18, 2014 at the St. Cloud Hospital. Reverend Gerald Dalseth will officiate. Private inurnment will take place at a later date at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery, Little Falls.

Family and friends may call after 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the church. Arrangements are with the Daniel Funeral Home, in St. Cloud.

Doris was born on March 5, 1930 in Melrose, Minnesota to Bernard and Elizabeth (Schurman) Proell. She graduated from Cathedral High School. Doris married Robert McLeod on April 22, 1953 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud. She was a homemaker the majority of her life but also spent seven years working at Thole Dental Lab and part-owner of the Potluck Store in Downtown St. Cloud. Doris was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud.

Doris was a very loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, and Friend.

Doris enjoyed crossword puzzles, cooking, camping, traveling, and was an avid reader. She was very proud of 60 plus years of playing Bridge with all of her high school friends. Doris especially treasured all the time spent with her family and friends.

Doris is survived by her daughters, Sherry (Dean) Rablin of Eden Prairie and Cindy (Dave) Graves of Willmar; five grandsons, Ryan and Cory Rablin and Dan, Bob and Tom Graves; brother, Leander Proell of St. Cloud; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bob in 2013; brothers, Al, Rich, Ray, Arnie and Herb Proell; sisters, Marie Moening, Kathryn Borgmann, Elma Gratzek and Laura Proell.
