Clear Lake Man Dies in Wednesday Crash

CLEAR LAKE TOWNSHIP -- A Clear Lake man is dead after a one vehicle crash in Sherburne County Wednesday night.

It happened on 77th Street in Clear lake Township just east of the Sherburne County Road 53 intersection.  Sheriff's officials say a passerby noticed a vehicle on its roof and partially submerged in the Elk River. Divers responded to the scene and found a lone occupant still in the vehicle.

Authorities pulled the body of 61-year-old Roger Petron from the vehicle.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
