Cathedral baseball lost 8-1 to Pierz Thursday in an elimination game in Section 6-2-A. Matthew Primus went 2-4 and drove in the lone Cathedral run. Tanner Staller and John Brew were each 2-3 for the Crusaders in the loss.

The St. Cloud Crush defeated Moorhead 9-1 Thursday night in Cold Spring to capture the Section 8-4-A title and earn a trip to the Class 4-A State Tournament. St. Cloud scored 2 runs in the 2nd inning, 3 runs in the 4th inning and 4 more in the 6th inning.

Cathedral softball lost 8-3 to Lake Crystal Welcome Memorial Thursday in the Class 2-A State Tournament Semifinals in North Mankato at Caswell Park.

ROCORI defeated Simley 8-6 Thursday night to capture the Class 3-A State Consolation Championship at Caswell Park in North Mankato. The Spartans broke the scoreless tie in the 4th inning with 2 runs and then posted 6 runs in the 6th inning to lead 8-0.

ROCORI defeated Benilde-St. Margaret's 11-1 in 6 innings in the Class 3-A State Tournament consolation semifinals Thursday in North Mankato. ROCORI scored 2 runs apiece in the 1st, 3rd and 4th innings and erupted for 5 runs to put the game away in the 6th inning.

The St. Cloud Crush defeated Moorhead 6-1 in Cold Spring Wednesday night to advance to the Section 8-4-A final. The Crush scored 5 runs in the 2nd inning and added another run in the 5th inning.

ROCORI lost 6-2 to St. Francis Wednesday in the Class 3-A State Softball Tournament Quarterfinals at Caswell Park in North Mankato. The Spartans went out to a 1-0 lead in the 1st inning but St. Francis responded with 2 runs 2nd inning, added 1 run in the 4th and 5th innings before scoring 2 more runs in the 7th inning.

Foley lost 4-3 to Winona Cotter Wednesday in the Class A 5th place (consolation championship) match at the Reed Sweatt Tennis Center in Minneapolis.

Cathedral defeated defeated Class 2-A champion Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton 2-1. Senior Ella Voit pitched the complete game, giving up 4 hits, 1 walk and had 7 strikeouts.

The Cathedral Boys Golf team won the Section 6AA Championship and is heading to next week’s State Meet as a team. The Crusaders edged out Albany by four strokes in the two-day tourney.
