Car Crashes Into St. Joseph Business, Driver Arrested
ST. JOSEPH — A St. Cloud man was jailed early Saturday after allegedly crashing his car into a St. Joseph building, then fleeing the scene.
St. Joseph Police were called to CMS Autobody at 109 Cedar Street after a car had crashed through the building’s exterior and came to rest inside. Officers arrived shortly after 2:30 a.m. to find the car abandoned.
Police located the driver a few blocks away and identified him as 53-year-old Jason Wiener. Wiener was jailed on suspicion of 4th degree DWI and a 5th degree controlled substance charge.
There were no serious injuries, but the auto body shop sustained substantial damage.
