BRAINERD (AP) -The Minnesota State Patrol says the driver who struck and killed a bicyclist in Cass County apparently had been drinking.

The patrol says the 24-year-old Brainerd woman collided with the bicyclist about 3:30 p.m. Thursday. Officials say alcohol was detected in the system of the driver.

The bicyclist is identified as 57-year-old Leonard Grabowski, of Brainerd.

The accident remains under investigation.
