ST. CLOUD - Catholic Charities of St. Cloud recently had it's busiest day to date. On November 2nd, the agency provided over 25,000 pounds of food to nearly 350 families - on that day alone.

With this, and other emergency needs in mind, the Norman C. Skalicky Foundation, in partnership with the Central Minnesota Community Foundation, has agreed to double the amount of funds it will match during the annual Charity Challenge.

They'll be matching every dollar donated, up to $50,000. The donations and matching funds will support Catholic Charities, the Salvation Army and St. Joseph area food shelves.

The fundraiser will continue until December 31st. If you'd like to chip in, you can make an online donation by visiting community giving.org.

You can also mail or deliver checks to the Central Minnesota Community Foundation's downtown St. Cloud office.

Last year's challenge raised nearly $110,000, with a total of over $800,000 raised since the drive was founded in 2001.
