Abandoned SUV Causes Highway 10 Crash
RICE -- A Royalton man and his two sons were hurt in a crash caused by bizarre circumstances Thursday morning.
The Minnesota State Patrol says someone had abandoned a GMC Jimmy SUV in the left lane of southbound Highway 10 near Little Rock Lake. A pickup driven by 42-year-old Terrance Gorecki came upon the abandoned vehicle at about 5:30 a.m. and was unable to avoid a collision.
The crash caused both vehicles to catch fire and pushed the Jimmy into the median.
Gorecki and his two passengers, 13-year-old Gabe Gorecki and 12-year-old Will Gorecki were all taken to St. Cloud Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The patrol says all three were wearing their seat belts.
