“A Walk Together” Fundraiser This Saturday!
ST. CLOUD (WJON News) - An annual fundraiser and walk to raise awareness of sex trafficking in the area will return this Saturday.
A Walk Together – Uniting Against Sex Trafficking will raise money for the Central Minnesota Sexual Assault Center on Saturday, April 27th, starting at 9:00 a.m.
Linda Wander is the organizer of the event. She says the event sends all money raised to the victims.
The money raised goes directly to victims of sexual violence through the Central Minnesota Sexual Assault Center. So what I love about that is all of the money is literally for the victims. Nothing's being used for any of the salaries of any of the employees at the center. But our main thing is to be bringing awareness of what's going on in our community.
The event begins at the site of the old Ramada Inn on Park Avenue South in St. Cloud with speakers from 9:00 until 10:00, and then the walk will follow.
Pre-registration is encouraged, but walk-ins will be welcomed.
