Sartell Student Gopi Ramanathan to Compete in National Geography Bee

ST. CLOUD - One of central Minnesota's own will represent our state at the 2012 National Geography Bee.

Gopi Ramanathan, an 8th grader from Sartell Middle School, won the title Friday at the State Geography Bee finals on the St. Cloud State University campus.

He received $100, and now he'll compete in the national finals of the Bee at National Geographic Society headquarters. That tournament is in May.
