ST. CLOUD - The country's newest citizens were sworn-in today (Wednesday), during a naturalization ceremony at the St. Cloud Public Library.

Chief Judge Gregory Kishel presided over the event.

Kishel says the new citizens are a very diverse group, and come from many different countries.

The 71 citizens are from the following countries:
Bosnia-Herzegovina, Cameroon, Colombia, Iceland, Iran, Jordan, Liberia, Mexico, Nepal, Nigeria, Norway, Pakistan, Philippines, Russia, Sierra Leone, Thailand, United Kingdom, Venezuela, Vietnam, Kenya, St. Lucia, Sudan, Ethiopia, and Somalia.

Today's event included the National Anthem, The Pledge of Allegiance, the taking of the Citizenship Oath, and a video from President Barack Obama.
