2 People Hurt in Crash Near Cold Spring
COLD SPRING - Two people were hurt, including a one-year-old , in a two vehicle crash near Cold Spring. The Minnesota State Patrol says it happened at about 2:30 p.m. on Saturday on Highway 23 and County Road 71 in Wakefield Township.
A van driven by 23-year-old Joseph Walz of Cold Spring was going north on County Road 71 crossing Highway 23 when he was struck by a truck.
Walz was taken to St. Cloud Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. One-year-old Colton Walz was taken to North Memorial with what is described as life-threatening injuries. Three-year-old Callie Walz was not hurt.
The driver of the truck, 61-year-old Jeffrey Ditlefsen of Sartell, was not hurt.
