UNDATED - Yet another late season winter storm is forecast for most of Minnesota and western Wisconsin beginning this afternoon and continuing through much of tonight.

Precipitation will overspread the area today, changing to snow from west to east.

A band of heavy snow with snow rates of 1 to 2+ inches per hour will develop this evening from around New Ulm, northeast to the Twin Cities, and into the Rice Lake and Mora areas.

Precipitation will taper off late tonight as the system heads east. Snowfall amounts of 6 to 9 inches are forecast within the Winter Storm Warning area, and 3 to 6 inches are expected with the Winter Weather Advisory.
