Wisconsin Woman Charged in Minnesota Crash
ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) - Minnesota prosecutors say a Wisconsin woman was drunk when her minivan with her three young children inside flipped onto its side, injuring her 8-year-old son.
34-year-old Christal Jean Luellen was charged Friday with five criminal counts.
Prosecutors say the New Richmond, Wisconsin, woman had five drinks at a St. Paul bar Thursday night. She was driving early Friday morning with her 4-year-old daughter and two sons, ages 8 and 12.
A State Patrol trooper found the minivan on its side and the 8-year-old bleeding heavily from a facial injury. The other two kids weren't hurt.
Prosecutors say a breath test administered at the scene registered twice the legal limit.
Online court records didn't list a defense attorney for Luellen on Saturday.
