Warm Temps Bring Out Thieves

ST. CLOUD -- Be careful when opening your homes to get that fresh air this spring. Warmer temps mean higher incidents of theft.

St. Cloud Crime Prevention Specialist John Justin says thieves look for open doors and windows. He says more than half of the home burglaries in St. Cloud are a result of thieves walking right in through an unlocked door.

Justin also says open garage doors are inviting to thieves too. Make sure you are keeping your garage doors closed when you aren't in your garage.

Also says make sure lower level windows are locked.

Justin says installing motion lights can also help deter thieves after dark.
