Walk For Thought Looks to Raise Awareness for Those With Brain Injuries
ST. CLOUD – More than 4,000 Minnesotans are hospitalized with a traumatic brain injury every year. In an effort to raise awareness for those who have experienced a brain injury, the St. Cloud “Walk For Thought” event is this morning.
Registration opens at 9:00 a.m. with the walk scheduled to start at 10:00 a.m.
The walk will be at the CentraCare Health Plaza in St. Cloud and will be about a mile long.
Over 2,000 participants are expected to participate in the walks across four locations in Minnesota this year. Since the first Walk for Thought in 2002, over $1 million in donations and sponsorships have been raised. All money raised will go to providing services to people affected by brain injury through the Minnesota Brain Injury Alliance.
