UNDATED - We told you on Friday that St. Cloud State University saw a modest increase in student enrollment this fall. Today (Monday) we're getting a look at the enrollment numbers for the MnSCU system as a whole.

Four of the seven universities saw slight increases, while three had an enrollment decline. The biggest decline was at Minnesota State-Moorhead, which went down by 7.5 percent.

Meanwhile, St. Cloud Technical and Community College had a five-percent enrollment decline this fall, with 235 fewer students. Only eight of the state's 31 colleges had an enrollment increase.

Systemwide there are nearly 3,000 fewer students enrolled this fall, compared to the same period last year. That represents a 1.6 percent decline.
