ST. CLOUD -- Two bicyclists were struck by cars on two separate St. Cloud streets yesterday (Thursday).

The first incident happened at the intersection of 33rd Avenue and 5th Street North just after 10:00 a.m.

Police say 19-year-old Hannah Rooney was crossing 5th Street North when she was hit by car.

The driver was a 31-year-old woman from St. Cloud.

Rooney was taken to St. Cloud Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

Police say the driver was stopping at a stop sign before the crash. She is not facing criminal charges at this time.

Hours later, police responded to a similar incident at the intersection of 29th Avenue North and 12th Street North just after 6:00 p.m.

St. Cloud Police say a 13-year-old boy was hit in the rear tire by a car after crossing 12th Street north against a red light/crosswalk signal.

The driver was a 56-year-old man.

The boy suffered minor injuries but refused medical attention.

No charges are pending against the driver.
