ST. CLOUD - The dog days of summer are winding down, but today was a good day to let the dogs out at the 25th annual Woofstock Companion Walk.

Hundreds of dogs and their owners gathered at Wilson Park. The Tri County Humane Society hopes this event will raise awareness for homeless animals.

It was a hot day for a 5k walk, the course had plenty of water available for the dogs. After the race, dogs could also jump into several pools open for them to cool off.

The Twin Cities Disc Dog Club was also on the scene, with dogs and owners doing tricks with frisbees.

"We're a bunch of crazy people that get together to throw plastic to our dogs." President of the Twin Cities Disc Dog Club, Melissa LaMere-Dragobich said.

The Tri County Humane Society continues to look for help with helping animals in the area. More information on the shelter is available at their website.
