    Liberty Bank Block Party

    Rock out to Tommy James and the Shondells tomorrow (Friday) for the 29th Annual Liberty Block Party. The event is part of Granite City Days. This year is a special performance as organizers have teamed up with the Local Education Activities Foundation to raise money for LEAF. Throughout the evening LEAF will be selling food and T-Shirts for $4 with all proceeds going to LEAF programs. The concert kicks off at 6:00 p.m. at Whitney Park and is free to attend.

    7th Annual Tanners Team 5K

    Sauk Rapids

    Break out your running shoes and get ready to race for a cause this weekend out in Sauk Rapids. Tanners Team Foundation is holding their 7th Annual 5K/walk at Bob Cross Park Saturday. Tanner's Team has helped 152 Central Minnesota families since 2011 and the money raised goes to continue that effort. Cost for running is $25 for the 5K which starts at 9:00 a.m.

    Music in the Gardens

    Munsinger Clemens Gardens

    Wrap up Granite City Days this weekend with another “Music in the Gardens” event. The free concert takes place on Sunday 3:00 p.m. The Granite City Brass will be performing down by the Gazebo in Munsinger Clemens Gardens. The group is composed of five professional musicians ranging in jazz, folk, religious, patriotic, opera, classical and American musical theatre. And while you listen enjoy a wonderful root beer floats available for $1.

    Lemonade Concert

    St. Cloud State University

    Granite City Days kicks off with an annual musical event at St. Cloud State University. The Lemonade Concert begins tonight (Thursday) with a performance by the St. Cloud Symphony Orchestra starting at 7:30 p.m. And while you're there check out the Little Lemons Children's area and farmers market, as well an Historic Homes tour.The event is free to attend and takes place outside of Stewart Hall.

    Granite City Renegades

    St. John's University

    You can catch a football game out at St. John's University this weekend. The Granite City Renegades are holding one of their two remain home games of the season. The team will square off against the Plattsmouth Kings at Clemens Stadium Saturday. Gates open at 4:00 p.m. with kickoff set at 5:00 p.m. Tickets are $10 at the gate or you can get them for $5.50 on the Value Connection. The Renegades are 3-3 on the season.
