The Big Fat Greek Festival

I attended the "Big Fat Greek Festival" held by the Holy MYRRH-BEARERS Orthodox Church, Saturday August 18th.

I was immediately drawn to the pastry table where I was enticed by samples of Greek coffee, Baklava and many other assorted delights. I was surrounded by the exotic music from the East while I strolled over to the kids area where games and prizes were to be had.

They also had  a grocery section filled with wares from Greece.  Canned octopus and shrimp, sesame snacks and wholesome mountain tea were all on display for purchase.  The food was fantastic with lamb or chicken gyros, a spinach pie, and Greek salad and lets not forget the sno-cones, a perfect finish on the way out on what was a beautiful day.
