Survey Says THIS Is Minnesota’s Favorite Gas Station -Surprised?

HOW DO YOU DEFINE 'THE BEST?'

Without looking at the results from this poll conducted by Freebets.com, I have to say I was a bit surprised; but not completely. When you are talking about our central Minnesota gas stations, I'd have to say that over the past few years, gas stations have really stepped up. They are cleaner, they offer more products than ever before, and I think it's because the competition is stiff.  From choice carwashes to hot food options, frozen pizza, and bakery items, you can get just about everything you need for a weekend or a road trip.

HOW DO YOU CHOOSE WHERE TO STOP?

So what is it that makes people choose one gas station over another? Do you stop at the first gas station you see when you need to go to the bathroom, or do you drive awhile until you see something specific?

When you're on a long drive, do you look for a specific gas station to stop in? Is it because you know the layout of the store? You know what they offer? Or is it they always have the best gas?

Sometimes it can come down to the quirky things they offer. One station might have all the best selection of grocery items, while another offers up one of the most delicious slices of pizza a person could ever put in their mouth; and if pizza is your thing, this could be your favorite spot too.

BUC -EE'S RULES IN THE SOUTH

I've never even heard of Buc-EE's gas stations, but they sure are popular down south. Florida, Georgia, Missouri, Kentucky, and more choose Buc-ee's as their favorite. Buc-ee's are apparently gigantic stores that are more like retail locations than gas stations and offer lots of snacks, BBQs, and travel-friendly merchandise.

QUICK TRIP (KWIK TRIP)

I thought that Kwik Trip was going to be the top contender here in Minnesota but alas; it was not. However, it was number one where it's known as Quick Trip, not Kwik Trip. Quick Trip took over states like Oklahoma, Virginia, and Kansas. Known for being friendly and fast, Quick Trip is known as QT in these states. (Isn't it easier to say Quick Trip)?

WAWA

Have you ever heard of WAWA? Well, if you haven't, apparently this is the place to stop if you are headed out on a road trip to Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey. Apparently, their coffee and breakfast sandwiches are to die for.

AND MINNESOTA SAYS...

Casey's! Casey's was not only the winner in the state of Minnesota, they were also the winner in most of the upper midwest, including Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Nebraska.

Does anyone have to ask why Casey's is their favorite? I've often said that the cheese pizza at Casey's is definitely hard to beat, and with the improvements that Casey's has made to their stores in recent years, offering many of their own branded products and services, you can see why they are a tough competitor. Congratulations Casey's! I'll be by later for a pizza.
