Survey: Job Outlook Growing for College Graduates

ST. CLOUD -- Great news for all graduating college students. A recent survey conducted by St. Cloud State University concluded that more employers are actively seeking new grads to hire than last year.

The annual survey conducted by SCSU surveyed 78 employers and reported seeing that 46 percent of employers were planning on hiring more new grads than the year before.

Andy Ditlevson is the Associate Director at SCSU's career center. He says students pursuing careers in human services will see the highest increase, closely followed by manufacturing, and staffing firms.

If you are a student in the market for a job after graduation the surveyed companies also gave their ways of recruiting new grads.

The most common recruiting tools in order are: college job fairs, company websites, campus websites, job boards and social media.

SCSU has two upcoming job fairs on January 18th and January 27th.
