LITTLE FALLS - The State Veterans Cemetery in Little Falls hosted its annual Memorial Day service on Sunday afternoon.

Hundreds packed into the area for the service. The event started with music by the Richfield Symphonic Band.

The keynote speaker at the ceremony was the State Commander of the VFW of Minnesota, Frank Presfield, during his speech he talked about the importance of honoring fallen veterans.

"There is no better way to honor those who have done more than you or I-than to capture the essence of what they have given and draw upon it to strengthen our spirit as a nation," Presfield says.

The traditional Parade of Flags started the service. All branches of the United States Military were honored during the ceremony, fallen veterans were honored with a wreath hanging ceremony.
