Bloody Marys.  They are drinks that can basically double as a meal and a drink, depending on where you are.  And some are spicy, some are very bland, and some are ceasar (made with Clamato juice).  It just all depends on how you like them.  But one thing is for sure, if you are drinking them it's generally a morning or midday drink.  I never see people just ordering them as their drink of choice for the evening.  Maybe people do... I just have never seen that.

People can be very particular about who has the best Bloody Mary.  It really depends on your own taste.

Last year, St. Cloud had their inaugural downtown Bloody Mary crawl.  Things didn't really go as everyone had hoped.  Bars were running out of Bloody Mary mix, the lines were crazy long, many people bailed out before the event was over.

This year, the city of St. Cloud listened to everyone's feedback, and they have made some upgrades/improvements/changes to the event.  So, yes, it is back.

This year, the event is planned for Sunday, the 28th of this month.  And here are some of the changes.

The drinks will all be 6 ounces and will cost $6.  BUT - you can purchase a button ahead of time at any of the participating bars and restaurants for $2 and you will get a dollar off of each of your drinks.  The city is also donating all of the proceeds from the button purchases to CentraCare Heart and Vascular Center.

There is also a chance to win some cool stuff.  Get a passport at your first stop, make sure it get it stamped at each of your stops after that (at least 4 bars and 3 retail shops), and you will have a chance to win a prize package from Gray Duck Spirits and a few extras from downtown businesses.

The crawl is scheduled for April 28th from 11am to 3pm.  Here are the participating bars/restaurants/retail businesses:

LOOK: Best Beers From Every State

To find the best beer in each state and Washington D.C., Stacker analyzed January 2020 data from BeerAdvocate, a website that gathers user scores for beer in real-time. BeerAdvocate makes its determinations by compiling consumer ratings for all 50 states and Washington D.C. and applying a weighted rank to each. The weighted rank pulls the beer toward the list's average based on the number of ratings it has and aims to allow lesser-known beers to increase in rank. Only beers with at least 10 rankings to be considered; we took it a step further to only include beers with at least 100 user rankings in our gallery. Keep reading to find out what the best beer is in each of the 50 states and Washington D.C.
