ST. CLOUD - A St. Cloud man facing charges after he allegedly threatened two people with a gun as they rode bike past his house.

Police say the incident happened at about noon on Saturday in the 300 block of 30th Avenue North.

The victims, a 23-year-old woman and a 30-year-old man, left the Boys and Girls Club and were riding past 38-year-old Scott Soyka's home. They say he pointed a handgun at them and "cocked" the gun. Soyka says he felt threatened and admitted that he had his gun out of the holster "at the ready". He does have a permit to carry.

Based on additional witness statements, Soyka is facing charges of 2nd Degree Assault.

There were no injuries.
