ST. CLOUD -- St. Cloud Hospital has scheduled a news conference this (Wednesday) afternoon to talk about what they're describing as unusual bacterial infections among some of it's patients.

Spokeswoman Chris Nelson says infections were found in 23 patients.  A nurse is suspected of introducing the infection, while neglecting to give pain-killers.

The nurse has been suspended and a criminal investigation is underway.

St. Cloud Hospital is working with the Minnesota Department of Health to investigate the infections.  Hospital officials believe there could be more than the 23 cases so far.

WJON will be covering this news conference at 3:00 p.m. and we'll have more on this story later this afternoon.
