St. Cloud Area School Board Selects Next Superintendent

ST. CLOUD - The St. Cloud area school district school board has picked their candidate to become the next superintendent.

Last (Wednesday) night the board unanimously selected Willie Jett.  He's currently the Assistant Superintendent in the St. Paul school district.

Board Chair Bruce Mohs says Jett will be a good fit for the district.

Jett was one of three finalists who met with community members this week.  The school district and Jett will now begin negotiations on a contract.

Current District 742 Superintendent Bruce Watkins is retiring from the district for a second time at the end of June.
