Nine candidates are vying for four open seats on the St. Cloud area school board. The primary election is on Tuesday and the top eight vote getters will move on to the general election in November.
After a day of recounting the ballots yesterday (Tuesday), the last spot in the General Election for the St. Cloud area school board is decided by just one vote.
The St. Cloud Area School Board has voted to rescind a planned vote in November on the extension of an operating levy. Back in May the board voted to bring the levy extension to the voters on the November ballot, but after discussions with new Superintendent Willie Jett, they decided to delay the vote.
The St. Cloud Area School Board will be tackling some big issues in 2013, including the future of Clark Field. The board elected longtime member Bruce Mohs has the chair, during an organizational meeting this (Monday) evening.
