St. Cloud Area School Board Approves Teacher Contract

ST. CLOUD - The St. Cloud area school board approved a two-year contract with the teachers union this (Monday) morning.

During a special meeting, the board unanimously approved the deal covering both this school year and next year.

It gives the teachers a one percent raise this year, and a 3.5 percent increase next year.  The salary range for the district's teachers is now from about $34,000 to $69,000.  The contract also adds 15 minutes to the work day for the teachers.

District 742 has about 850 teachers.
