Skates, Bumps and Bruises To Help Beat Breast Cancer [VIDEO]

ST. CLOUD - A group of tough women were fighting and competing to help raise money for another group of tough women who are fighting a battle of their own.

Saturday night the S.C.A.R Dolls, St. Clouds Roller Derby team, hosted a bout to help raise money for Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of Central Minnesota, St. Cloud.

harmAknee is a member of the SCAR Dolls. She says the team has built a great relationship with Making Strides over the last few years.

"We have been pairing with Making Strides Against Breast Cancer for quite a few years now. A portion of our proceeds tonight will go to (Making Strides). We have worked with them a lot. They have been a fantastic partner to us and I only hope we have given back to them as much as they have given to us."

While the team is excited to help support women fighting breast cancer, harmAknee says they also are competing to inspire all women.

"I hope that we can be strong role models and show them that you can be any color, any size or any age and you can still do something tough."
