MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Police say investigators are making "promising strides" in their investigation into the shooting of two toddlers in Minneapolis, but have made no arrests.

Two-year-old Le'Vonte King Jason Jones was fatally shot as he sat in a van driven by his father Friday afternoon. His 15-month-old sister, Mela Queen Melvina Jones was also in the van and was injured by gunfire. She was shot in the leg and has been released from the hospital.

Their mother, Leshea Jones, says she's praying for an end to the violence. Police say the shooting apparently was not a random incident.
