CHASKA, Minn. (AP) - Authorities are looking for more than one suspect in an attack that left a 90-year-old rural Carver County man dead.

Deputies were called to the home of Earl Olander in San Francisco Township about 7:20 p.m. Saturday after a relative asked for a welfare check. Deputies found Olander dead with his hands bound and bruises and cuts on his face and chest. The house had been ransacked.

Sheriff Jim Olson says there is no evidence the house was broken into. Olander lived alone and had no children or grandchildren.

Reports say authorities don't know how Olander died.

Anyone with any information is asked to call the Carver County Sheriff's Office. Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
