Sex Trafficking Suspect Tased While Resisting Arrest

WAITE PARK - The St. Cloud and Waite Park Departments arrest man suspected of being involved with the promotion of sex trafficking.

According the Waite Park Police Department authorities were notified around 10:00 p.m. Friday night that 22-year-old Deandre Jones of Minneapolis was at a party on the 400 Block of 29th Avenue North in St. Cloud.

Authorities say they talked to the tenants and confirmed Jones was at the house. Jones tried to run out of the house through the back bedroom. Police says he resisted arrest which led to him being tased by officers.

Jones is being held in the Stearns County Jail on charges of Promotion of Prostitution, Probation violation on a Felon in Possession of firearm conviction and obstructing legal process.
