SCTCC President Joyce Helens Resigning in July
ST. CLOUD -- St. Cloud Technical and Community College President Joyce Helens is resigning from her position.
Helen's has accepted a position as President at Great Basin College in Nevada. Helens last day at SCTCC will be July 31.
Minnesota State Chancellor Steven Rosenstone says the Board of Trustees will be accepting internal recommendations for the position of interim president for the college. Recommendations can include current or former Minnesota State Colleges and Universities employees.
Helens has been SCTCC's President since 2006. Rosenstone says Helens has played a crucial role in furthering the success of the institution.
"As president of St. Cloud Technical and Community College, Joyce has worked tirelessly to advance student success, build community within the college, promote the economic development of the greater St. Cloud community within the college, promote the economic development of the greater St. Cloud community, develop programs to ensure a skilled workforce, advance the college's financial sustainability and much, much more."
Rosenstone says the goal is to have an interim president in place before the start of the next school year.
